Hahn Communications Earns Two National PR Awards

Hahn Communications has won two National Mature Media Awards from the Mature Market Resource Center, a national organization for professionals working in senior markets. Based in Mission Viejo, Calif., Hahn Communications is a public relations and marketing firm specializing in communications for lifestyle, housing and other services for older adults.

Hahn Communications won a silver award in the category of “Article – Newspaper” for a news article that ran in the UT-San Diego about seniors finding love the second time around at La Costa Glen, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Carlsbad, Calif. The firm also won a merit award for an article on how University Village Thousand Oaks, a CCRC in Thousand Oaks, Calif., prepares nutritious yet tasty meals for seniors every day. The article ran in the Ventura County Star.

According to Donna Hahn, president of Hahn Communications, the annual senior marketing competition attracted hundreds of entries from public relations and advertising agencies, retirement communities, the American Association of Retired Persons, and other organizations serving older adults.

“When you look at the level of competition and the sheer volume of entries, we are thrilled to have won these awards on behalf of our terrific senior communities,” Hahn said.

In addition to marketing communications for the senior market, Hahn Communications specializes in professional sporting events, commercial real estate investment and development, commercial construction, trade associations and non-profit organizations. The firm’s expertise includes strategic planning, media relations, publicity, social media and other communications programs.
